‘Herr Professor wouldn’t like that.’

Once upon a time, I was asked to look at a Wikipedia article written by a newbie. It was quite nice, about a German professor of law, but I had some remarks. For example, I saw the phrase ‘he obtained a PhD degree in law, dr. jur.’ As it is usual in Germany that the title for law PhDs is ‘dr. jur.’, you can drop that information, I told the newbie.

A couple of days later, the newbie answered me about leaving out the specific name of the title: ‘I have asked; Herr Professor wouldn’t like that.’
